Once installed on the Windows side, Amiga Explorer can self-install to the Amiga over the serial cable without requiring any additional software, but the Amiga must be able to boot first (e.g. Several resources I encountered (including Amiga Forever) made a point of getting “the real thing” or to expect com port communication errors. It’s quite important to get the real deal and not some cable that looks like it will fit.
